Weekend lacrosse update

Spartans 13 NorthStars 6
The St. Catharines Spartans junior B lacrosse team improved to 7-2 in league play Saturday night with a 13-6 road win over the Owen Sound NorthStars.
St. Catharines blew the game open by out-scoring the NorthStars 7-1 in the final period.
Scoring goals or multiple points for the Spartans were: Cree Blakely (5-2-7); Chris Robertson (2-4-6); Zach Calder (2-2-4); Trevor Hines (2-2-4); Danny Blocho (1-3-4); Alec Tamas (1-2-3); Cole Robillard (0-2-2); and, Michael Bosse (0-2-2).
Brenden Welsh led Owen Sound with two goals and three assists.
Craig Seneca picked up the win in goal for the Spartans who out-shot Owen Sound 65-47.
St. Catharines is at Orangeville (6-3) Monday.
